But the same thing sounds difficult while using WhatsApp+, a kind of modified version. You can’t use Google Drive backup in WhatsApp Mods, but still, it doesn’t mean that you can’t transfer the data.
There is a way to do that, and it works differently for two cases. The first case here works if you’re installing and using the WhatsApp Plus app on your new device, and the second case is for the term when you’re going to have WhatsApp official app on your new device.

However, people these days are using different third-party apps for quick switching of data, but these things can also steal your important data.
The best option is to transfer the data super safely from your old phone to the new phone, and that’s possible using the two best options we listed below.
It won’t take much of time, and we’ve mentioned it step-by-step so that you will know the whole process without saying the word TOUGH.
Furthermore, the two methods below are used in different types of transfers, so you need to read carefully before using them.
Procedure to Transfer WhatsApp Plus Data to a New Phone
The procedure to transfer WhatsApp Plus data to a new phone is quite simple using the below methodology. Both the methods below are the traditional and most simplistic procedures to transfer the data fluently step by step.
The first method will work for those who’re transferring data to WhatsApp Plus on their new device, and the second will be there for those transferring data to WhatsApp official app on the new device.
Transferring Data to WhatsApp Plus in New Phone
This method would work only if the version you installed on your new device is WhatsApp Plus mod. Remember it as a caution that if you’re using any different version, like the official WhatsApp Messenger, FMWhatsApp, or YoWhatsApp, your data can get lost and there is a possibility where you can’t get it back.
So keep in thought that you must use WhatsApp Plus on your new phone if you’re using the below steps:
Phase 1: Creating Backup Folder
You first need to create the backup folder, and later we’ll transfer this folder to your new phone using a mediator PC or Laptop.
So first, follow all the below steps for creating a perfect backup of all your old messages, media files, and links:
- Open the WhatsApp Plus app on your old android device.
a - Click the three-dot button at the top bar and open the Settings tab from there.
b - Click Chats tab and there you’ll get all the Chat settings.
c - Scroll down the list and search Chat Backup button. Click it!
d - Click the Back Up button located in a green colored tab.
Phase 2: Transferring Files to a Mediator PC
After a few moments, when you find the backup procedure get completed eternally, you can get to the next phase of transferring data which goes as below:
- Connect your phone with a PC or Laptop using a compatible USB data cable and enable File Transferring on your device.
f - Open a folder containing Internal Storage of your device on the PC.
g - Scroll down and search for a folder named WhatsApp Plus. (It’s the folder which contains all the important data.)
h - Right-Click this folder and click the Copy button.
i - Paste the WhatsApp Plus folder on Desktop folder of your PC.

Phase 3: Finalizing the Data Transfer to a New Phone
Get ready to finalize the data transfer and have all those messages, media files, docs, and links listed in the same way you saw lastly on your old device.
All you need now is to disconnect your old device from your PC and follow the below steps:
- Unplug the old device from your PC and plug in the new device using a compatible USB Data Cable.
- Enable Data Transferring permission for the new device and open the folder including Internal Storage of your new device on the PC.
l - Furthermore, get to the Desktop of your PC and copy the WhatsApp Plus folder that we recently pasted there.
m - Paste this folder back to the root folder of Internal Storage of your new device connected to the PC.
n - Unplug your new device from PC and click this link on your new phone to download the latest version of WhatsApp Plus.
- After downloading WhatsApp Plus, open the File Manager app and find the APK file you just downloaded.
p - Click this APK file and hit the Install button on next prompt notification.
q - Open the WhatsApp Plus app on your new device and click the Agree and Continue button.
r - Fill in the important details including your region and WhatsApp number and click the Verify button.
s - Afterward, enter the OTP code you received on your WhatsApp Number and verify your account.
t - Allow for the important permissions and skip the Google Data backup system.
u - You will now get prompted by the data backup we created from your old device.
- Click the Restore button and wait for the data to get restored completely.
- Finalize the procedure by writing profile name and updating profile picture.

Lastly, fill in your profile name and upload a profile picture if you want to get one on there. Get boarded to WhatsApp messaging on your new device with the whole old data listed similarly with all the last media files and messages.
